With China's entering of the WTO and its sustainable and stable development, all of China's industries are facing the globalized competitions. The hotel industry, being one of the earliest industries that has been globalized, is inevitably confroting with the increasing competiotions. So, "how to increase the core competitiveness of hotels and stimulate hotels sustainable development" is a question that every hotel manager thinks over and over again. The ability to seize the chance and polishing the hotels are the most essentials. I personally think that HR management is a dispensable chain of hotel's inner management. The key to HR management is performance management, while the key to performance management is performance evaluation. Therefore, it is very meaningful to hotel managing issues to find a proper system of performance evaluation. Whereas, the competition within the industry is extending and the competition is unprecendently intense. If the hotel hopes to remain its position, it has to know the significance of HR. As a result, staff's performance evaluation is a key chain of attaching importance to each individual staff.
This essay is divided into 4 parts. In the first part, I demonstrated the meaning and the background of the study, both nationally and internationally. Then, I introduced some basic theories as well as the industry as a whole. Thereafter, I discussed performance evaluation system in a new perspective, and accurately designed a frame of the system to help the staff to achieve their goals. Last but not least, I conducted a practical research for the staff performance evaluation system, which can help achieve a sustainable development for both the staff and the hotel.
